50th Anniversary News

The excitement is building!

The banners outside the church, as well as the two banner headers inside the sanctuary, now remind us that this is our year of celebration.  As I look at the banners on the way into church and during each service, they remind me of the special year this is, and all the activities that will occur.

The 50/50 raffle held to help reduce costs of the celebration for the Three Sons of Grace, former pastors, and other invited guests raised $694 in two weeks!  Many thanks to all those who contributed so generously.  The Wasz family won the drawing, and gave their portion back so it could also go towards reducing the costs.  Thanks to them for their generosity.

Next on the agenda, you will see advertising for the New Life Festival II and Monk's Car Show on May 19.  These two events are being designed to provide a lot of fun for members of Grace (Grace - Present), and to reach out to new people who may wish to learn more about our ministry (Grace - Future).   We, as a congregation, will have the opportunity to enjoy some rebuilt cars and hot rods and have fun with lots of good music, food, games and other activities, as we offer these same activities to the community around us. Ken Grannemann is heading up the committee to prepare for this date.  Your help will be needed, to help out and/or to simply come and enjoy the festivities.  As a congregational outreach event, your participation will be very important.

You can volunteer to help in the planning by contacting Ken at 703-878-4757 or at kenanddebbieg@hotmail.com.

Remember to reserve these dates on your calendar. Exact times will be advertised as planning becomes firm.

In His service,

Dave Potter
